Our internet platform and E-Learning modules are designed for you to easily and intuitively navigate and quickly begin learning without difficulties. Nonetheless, to prevent potential problems, we are summarizing key information for smooth handling of the platform and the E-Learning modules here.
Once you have selected an E-Learning module, you can access it via its portal, which describes it and explains its learning goal, contents, prerequisites, scope, and time required. The contents can be viewed in an interactive table of contents. In addition, you can select and check out media objects of the E-Learning module. You can access the E-Learning module from an identified link.
Each E-Learning module consists of a number of learning units. All learning units can be conveniently accessed from the table of contents. This gives you an optimal way to learn. For navigation, each learning unit also has a navigation bar along the lower border of the screen. Every E-Learning module includes a learning objectives test that you can conveniently access from the table of contents. Up to now, you can access all E-Learning modules, since their use is free-of-charge.
A learning unit is devoted to a self-contained topic that is presented to you as didactically prepared instructional texts. Important to the learning process are the media objects integrated in the sidebar. They serve to illustrate technical facts and their context and invite you to activate them. At the bottom of each learning unit, you will find the navigation bar.
Media objects contribute considerably to the learning effectiveness of an E-Learning module, especially if they are interactive. We have equipped all interactive media objects with instructions so that you can familiarize yourself with the functions it offers. Every interactive media object is equipped with an intuitive control bar which is described in the instructions. You can open all of the media objects belonging to a learning unit simultaneously and move them on the screen by dragging their title bars with the mouse. You can also move all elements that appear within a media object, e.g. the instructions. To do this, you also click on the relevant element.
Each E-Learning module has topic-related learning objectives tests, which you can use to test your level of knowledge at any time. You can access the learning objectives tests from the table of contents. Most of the questions of the learning objectives tests are of the “multiple choice” type. A learning objectives test is checked by clicking a button on the navigation bar. It is not necessary to answer all questions to initiate an evaluation. You can have your answers to a learning objectives test checked as often as you wish. Up to two symbols may be assigned to the questions: a question mark and a key icon. Clicking the question mark gives you a hint to help you answer the question. Use the key icon to display the solution.
